Daniel Maritz advises and represents domestic and foreign companies, insurance companies and private individuals in the areas of contract and commercial law, corporate law, liability and insurance law, aviation law and inheritance law/succession planning/foundations.

Born in 1963, Daniel Maritz studied at the University of St. Gallen (HSG, lic. iur. 1988) and at the Vrije Universiteit in Brussels (postgraduate diploma in international and European law, LL.M. 1993). He was admitted to the bar in 1992. Daniel Maritz worked as a court clerk at the Commercial Court of the Canton of Zurich, as a trainee at the Directorate General IV (Competition) of the Commission of the European Communities and in the legal service of the FDFA/FDEA Integration Office (Swiss-EU relations). In 2009, Daniel Maritz qualified as a Certified Specialist in Liability and Insurance Law. He has worked for Schiller Attorneys at Law since 1992 and has been a partner since 1998.

Daniel Maritz is a member of the Zurich Bar Association (former president), the Swiss Bar Association, the Association of Specialized Lawyers SBA Liability and Insurance Law (former board member), the Swiss Lawyers Association and the ASDA/SVLR (Swiss Association for Air and Space Law).

Daniel Maritz is an active and, above all, an enthusiastic passive sportsman with a wide range of interests.
